U\u010dka Nature Park, which encompasses the Vela draga geomorphological nature monument, is managed by the U\u010dka Nature Park Public Institution<\/strong>. This institution was founded by the Government of the Republic of Croatia through the Decree about the establishment of the U\u010dka Nature Park Public Institution (Narodne novine\u00a0<\/em>official gazette no. 96\/99). The institution started its work in September 2001. In 2006 the U\u010dka Nature Park Public Institution compiled its first Management plan <\/strong>in which the Park’s vision and mission were defined for the period of the next 10 years, as well as the management goals, implementation and the tracking plan for all the activities with a financial projection. The plan is a public document available to all the Park’s inhabitants, the local community and all the stakeholders. Currently a new management plan is being created in which a broader area is being included into strategic planning, along with the U\u010dka Nature Park also the network of protected areas Natura 2000<\/strong>, protecting the endangered and rare species and habitats.<\/p>\n

The institution’s governing body consists of the Administrative Board and the Director. The Administrative Board consists of five members. These members are appointed by the Minister. The members of the U\u010dka Nature Park Public Institution Administrative Board<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n

All the activities of the Public Institution are managed by the director who is appointed by the relevant minister. The general manager of the U\u010dka Nature Park Public Institution<\/strong> is \u017darko Erceg, \u00a0dipl. ing. univ. spec. oec.. The seat of the Public Institution is in Liganj. Its address is: Liganj 42, 51415 Lovran. The offices are located in the Visitor Centre Poklon (the address is: Poklon 8, Vela U\u010dka, Opatija 51410).
