For the eight year in a row, a special event titled “Christmas Fairy Tale in Nature Park Učka” was successfully organized at the overpass Poklon from the 15th until 18th December 2016.

Santa Clause arrived again from a far-away and cold Lapland to his Adriatic home on the Učka mountain. During the four days that he spent with us, he delighted the old and the young. In his abode on Poklon, he received all children who had arrived to express to him their Christmas wishes and generously handed out sweets to them. A cheerful children’s choir from the Music School Ino Mirković welcomed the Santa and his assistents. It was followed by the reception of dear children who live on Učka, little firefighters from VFB Opatija, little fishermen from the fishermen’s club Zubatac as well as the children from Lupoglav and all other children who had arrived for this purpose only. The entertainment included children’s cinema”, an fun Christmas dancing workshop and a Christmas cards and ornaments workshop with whose products children embellished the Christmas tree.

The wonderful Santa had also brought along an abundance of hugs & kisses for moms & dads asking the children to deliver them to their parents. In a festive atmosphere, the visitors also enjoyed seasonal delicacies and drinks.
